Fictional Character #3

Here she is, Lucy Maud Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables.

Good thing she's wearing her hat. I guess she's taking a stroll through the flower garden.

And here's little Anne looking like she is on her own private island.

Fictional Character #2

Once again, from Newfoundland, these photos were taken by K.

The Flash, enjoying the scenery in Gander;

 hanging out by the cliffs of Cape St. Mary's;

 and hitching a ride on a Labrador in St. John's.

I love this  photo. It just brings an instant smile. The Flash sure does get to go to some interesting places.

Repetition - not in nature #5

K from Toronto took these photos.

"Some examples of repetition found in St. John's, Newfoundland."

Whatever these structures are, they are wonderful. They look like sails on a boat.

What a unique and colourful mailbox.

St. John's is hilly but it didn't stop people from building housing. Even though they are different colours, all the windows are framed in white.

Another look at the wonderful houses with white framed windows.

An Enjoyable Street Scape 5

From K while visiting the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

"Here we have a tiny up-hill street in "The Battery", St. John's; a couple of typical downtown St. John's streets, and a shot of George St., which boasts the highest concentration of bars/pubs in the world."

 I do hope this is a one way street.

 Wonderful houses.

 The Maritime provinces love to paint their houses is bright colours.

Reduce Reuse Recycle #5

What a unique piece of advertising.

These photos, showing some of St. John's efforts to reduce, reuse, recycle, were taken by K while on vacation in Newfoundland.

Fictional Character #1

Good old Smokey the Bear.
A close-up.
And in the 'flesh' at the William's Lake, B.C. Stampede parade, walking away.

All pictures taken by D on a visit to British Columbia. Apologies for the quality of the photos.
